Who Is This Program For?
The Fortuna Major Consignment Program is designed to support individual creatives and organizing collectives in reaching a wider audience. The program prioritizes emerging LBGTQ2S+, BIPOC, Disabled, Mad/Neurodivergent, and Northeast-based creatives. When we say emerging, we’re talking first-time authors, zinesters, printmakers, collage artists, and other creatives who may feel like their work is struggling to belong in our current creative landscape. And when it comes to collectives, we’re talking about groups providing mutual aid, political education, and community connection outside of the nonprofit industrial complex.
We live in a world where we are expected to be our own photographers, marketers, and archivists. Successfully getting yourself and your creative work out there requires an abundance of time, energy, and money that is difficult to sustain alone. This program aims to ease the burden of labor on creatives and shift the narrative of who and what belongs within the art and publishing worlds.
What Kind of Products Are You Interested In?
The Fortuna Major Consignment Program is in an experimental stage. That means we’re open to hearing about your unique offering so long as it is a physical product (ie. a book or art print) and not a service (ie. tarot readings or coaching services). Your offering should be connected to our current areas of interest and can be fiction, nonfiction, or genreflux.

How Does It Work?
At this time, there are limited slots available for consignment. The first step is to fill out our consignment application and wait to hear back. Everyone who fills out an application will receive a response confirming whether or not they were accepted to the program. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
If accepted, we will review and sign a consignment contract together. Once signed, Fortuna Major will directly purchase a limited amount of your product at 60% retail price (i.e. for a $25 book, Fortuna Major will buy the book for $15). Fortuna Major will then sell the product through our website and at select markets. This results in a 60/40 split of proceeds favoring you, the maker, upfront.
Additionally, you will be given access to our Discord group The Creative Catalyst Network. The Creative Catalyst Network is comprised of individuals, organizations, and businesses who have collaborated on Fortuna Major offerings. You can use this exclusive group for peer support, education, collaboration, marketing, and more.
All those who consign through Fortuna Major are eligible for discounts on creative consulting services.
