Artists, culture-bearers, arts workers, and other cultural sector workers: would you like to contribute your knowledge to a Master’s research project?

Collaborate with University of Minnesota Arts and Cultural Leadership graduate student April Crowley on a capstone project resulting in a practical risk-management framework for arts and cultural workers that makes it easier and more sustainable to produce new, innovative, and/or politicized performing arts work.

Shea Presents: Hani Thompson Rituals Album Release in the Shea's Lounge

The Shea Theater is pleased to present an evening night with local hero Hani Thompson as part of the Foyeur Enjoyment in the Shea’s Lounge series.

Hani Rosenbaum Thompson is a visual artist and musician based in Massachusetts, originally from New York. Hani’s first solo album, “Rituals” was released on November 8, 2025 with Echo Base Production (in part funded by the Massachusetts cultural council).

It’s more than a screening; it’s a collective offering, a moment to stand together in the good light they taught us to seek, make, and protect.

Curated by Alix Gerber, Designing Radical Futures has spent the last few years working with area artists, worker co-operatives, and mutual aid groups to imagine a future with completely different social systems and economies. Community workshops with partnering groups focused on how their missions and values might change the world around them. Drawings and stories from these workshops were the source material for the artwork on view, creating physical manifestations for a possible future

Read & Resist Fest At Interlink Publishing

Interlink Publishing—Northampton’s Palestinian-owned book publisher—will be hosting the second annual Read + Resist Fest on Saturday, September 20th, from 10am to 4pm at 46 Crosby Street, Northampton, MA.  This outdoor social justice festival will include a book sale, QTBIPOC vendors, children’s activities, teach-ins, workshops, screen printing, performances, music, food and more. It is free to the public and open to all ages.  Masks are required.
