Agballa Creatives Presents: Creating in Kapwa A Monthly Co-Creative Gathering

  • 1 Cottage St Easthampton, MA, 01027 United States (map)

What This Is About:

A co-creation gathering for women/femme/non-binary artists, writers, visionaries, makers, entrepreneurs of culture/color.

Kapwa is the Filipino/Tagalog principle of interconnectedness, of shared identity, of the Self in the Other. That because you are, I am.

So when we create, when we take small, meaningful steps toward building and making something new, we do it within this shared identity. We are co-creating a new world no matter how small the project, one intertwined with Land and Water and Sky, one meant for all of us. Because I am, you are.

We create in this Spirit of Togetherness. Of right relation. Of joy and pleasure and collectivism.

And we hold each other accountable for working on those things we say we want to bring into the world.

Because you are, I am.

Who This Is For:

This gathering is for highly sensitive, queer women, femmes, non-binary creators, artists, makers, writers of color who would like to engage with their creative projects with other like-hearted creators.

We'll feel out how it'll go when we arrive, but here's the flow of the hour so you have an idea:

  • Greetings, Introductions, Invocation (calling on our creative support...folks who inspire us, Ancestors, guides)

  • Guided Creating Time

  • Optional Sharing Moment

Come with your materials ready to play :)
