The Lover

The Lover stands boldly in zyr choices.
Zyr choice of who to be, how to love, who to love, what to bring into this world, and what to release. The Lover knows that the choices ze make in this life hold significance. Ze know that the choices ze make will not always be easy. Instead of shying away from the enormity of this reality, The Lover trusts in zyr capacity for self-guidance through the complexity of life.
The wisdom of The Lover has not come easily. The Lover knows what it is like to have zyr autonomy stripped away from zym. Ze know intimately the fear and turmoil that comes from having choice revoked. Ze know what it is like to be stuck, to have competing desires, to make zymself smaller for the sake of survival.
In the wake of such immense loss of control, The Lover had to forge an unshakable relationship to zyr inner world, zyr dreams and desires, zyr boundaries, and zyr values. The Lover learned to sit with discomfort, with paradox, with grief and shame—and in so doing they discovered that, though others may attempt to revoke zyr autonomy, something exists within that can never be taken away. The Lover transformed exile into a freedom flight.
If the The Lover has come into your life, it is time to ask yourself what choices you would make if you held the self-trust necessary to be able to handle the reactions from the world around you without self- abandoning. How would you orient your relationships, if you gave space for your dreams to speak to you? What would change if you honoured pleasure as a guide home to yourself?
The Lover reminds you that you are capable and deserving of your wildest fantasies and most nourishing connections. Now and always.
