The Hermit
SECLUSION, PROTECTION, LIBERATION, TRANQUILITY, ANCESTRAL WISDOM
The Hermit does not offer up their space freely.
Seeing denial not as rejection, but rather as preservation The Hermit has come to see that access to their energy must be conditional or else they risk irreparable harm. The Hermit finds that there is a sacred power in allowing some things to exist solely for themself; that not all tools and stories must be shared to hold significance.
Rather than giving access to those who have not earned their place within the constellation of their life, The Hermit has devoted themselves to finding liberation within reservation. Illuminated under the solitary company of night, they diligently weave together the offerings of their ancestors into a balm for their soul; releasing themself from the obligation to deny who they are for the sake of the comfort of those who orbit around them.
The Hermit knows that to orient their life this way puts them in the crosshairs of those that demand compliance. Yet, in the quiet of their carefully crafted sanctuary, The Hermit does not fear. They have learned that their most authentic resistance is not to rush into the fray of battle, but to retreat into their own embrace. Not because they lack courage, or the fierceness necessary to endure, but rather because they know that liberation cannot be born from endless self-sacrifice.
If The Hermit has come into your life, it is time to recognize that it is not selfish to offer yourself the protection that you deserve nor to direct the flow of your energy inward. Instead, The Hermit asks you to reshape your relationship to reservation. When you meet it in yourself and in others, do you recognize it as a gift or do you seek to resist its presence? Consider the roots of your answer with compassion, and recognize that you have the capacity to transform this. The tranquility of The Hermit is your birth right.
