The Dreamweavers Art Group 2025 Session #3

  • 1 Cottage St Easthampton, MA, 01027 United States (map)

During Pride Month 2023, The Dreamweavers Project hosted an art-based peer support group for queer, trans, and Two Spirit survivors of sexual assault & relationship violence. For 8 weeks, survivors met weekly at Survivor Arts Collective to make art, read tarot, and support each other.

Fortuna Major Creative Co. proudly announces that this support group will return for 4 weeks on ZOOM in July 2025. If you want to join this group, please fill out our interest form on The Dreamweavers Project page. All information is sent directly to the facilitator, Lachlan, and will be deleted at the end of the group.

The Dreamweavers Project, and by extension this support group, has been made possible through the support & collaboration of:

Bloom Local, the Mass Cultural Council, the Northampton Arts Council, Community Engagement, and Survivor Arts Collective.

Sample Group Structure:

We’ll begin with a brief check-in/introduction, open the floor up for creative invitations, have art-making time, and then open up the floor once more for people to share their art and stories before we part ways.

Pricing:

The Dreamweavers Group is a free program supported by sliding-scale slots. No one will be turned away for lack of funds (NOTAFLOF).

How To Register:

To register for The Dreamweavers, fill out the interest form on The Dreamweavers Project page at this link.

Accessibility:

Lachlan will be wearing a microphone for all Dreamweavers meetings to enhance sound quality. Zoom offers auto-generated captions for accessibility which must be manually turned on by users individually. To enable auto-generated captions (live transcription):

  • Sign in to the Zoom web portal

  • Navigate to Settings > Meeting > In Meeting (Advanced)

  • Toggle on "Closed captioning" and "Enable live transcription service"

After enabling auto-generated captions and when actively in a Zoom meeting, you should see a circle with three dots in it labeled “More” on the lower righthand side of the Zoom room.

  • Click “More”

  • Click “Captions” (a box labelled with “CC”)

  • Click “Show Captions”

  • Follow the prompts to select your preferred language
