Temperance
BALANCE, MASTERY, COLLABORATION, MULTIPLICITY, EMBRACE
Temperance is expansive.
Temperance stands within the portals of water and earth, simultaneously rooted and fluid, listening for the insight of her guides in bird calls on the wind. She stretches, curls, and unfurls herself to the ebbs and flows of the insight shared with her and allows her body to speak to her in tandem with the world around her.
Through this intuitive dance, Temperance becomes a conduit between the seen and the unseen, the known and the unknown. Temperance does not need to know why they are called to move their body the way they do. Instead, they put trust in the quiet collaboration of deep listening to guide them closer to where they need to be. With each of their steps, they place trust in their capacity to follow pathways that feel level enough. This trust, in turn, brings them stability within a constant state of flux.
Temperance shares the wisdom that balance and acceptance are not born from quiet surrender, but rather bold collaboration. To collaborate, you must be able to listen. To listen, you must be willing to release expectation. To release expectation, you must be willing to be changed. To embrace change, you must be willing to be seen. To be seen, you must be willing to share. To share, you must embrace that you have something to share. This endless interconnectedness is Temperance’s gift.
If Temperance has come into your life, it is time to recognize that you need not sacrifice expansiveness to find balance, nor do you need to seek acceptance from outside of yourself. There is a wide world, rich and rooted, ready to offer itself up to you. Temperance reminds you that you already have the most essential tools to receive its blessings: your ability to listen, to feel, to respond, and to reflect. The only thing left to do is to dance.
